The car is a VY body shape, ex Garry Rogers Motorsport/Valvoline car campaigned by Jason Bargwanna and is now powered by a 6 litre Chev engine and a Holinger sequential transmission) and is rumoured to have well in excess of 650 horsepower (it does not have to comply with the V8 Supercar 5 litre formula.

The chassis is well sorted, Mal has years of experience driving this car and Eastern Creek really is his backyard. What this means it that fans can now see for themselves if the might of a V8 supercar can take it to the hi tech masterpieces that are about to converge on Sydney from around the world.

It is also sure to bring a touch of the traditional Ford Versus Holden rivalry as the Fernandez XR6 Super falcon will also be flying Australian flag high.
