Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge Sydney has grown over the last ten years into the world’s biggest time attack event and the flagship event at Sydney Motorsport Park.

But the Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge is no longer just a niche motorsport event. With more media covering the event than ever and being recognised in 2016 by the Sport NSW as the Event of the Year (tied 1st place with the HSBC Rugby 7s), WTAC continues to grow and reach a larger audience each year. 

In 2021, World Time Attack Challenge Sydney returns after a one-year hiatus in 2020 due to the global pandemic. As part of the path out of the pandemic, WTAC has been secured by Destination NSW, the tourism arm of the NSW Government, for the next five years. This allows us to ensure the event will run for our fans, competitors and sponsors until at least 2025. This will inspire more confidence from owners to build and display cars, for engineering to advance, and for spectators to be able to plan ahead, especially when international borders open for visitation in the near future.
