PLAZMAMAN PRO-AM RUNS DOWN TO THE LAST LAP

While the Tilton Evo couldn’t be caught in the Plazmaman Pro-Am class at the 2022 Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge, the action further down the order was fierce! The other two spots on the podium came right down to the last runs of the final shootout run of the night, with Jay Davidson and Richard Pirini battling for second and third.

Richard had led Jay through the afternoon, after Jay had a horror lead-up to the Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge. Still fresh to the sport of time attack from international rallying, Jay grenaded his Subaru STi’s engine at Subinats just weeks earlier and spent the first day of WTAC sorting engine gremlins.

Richard’s Ginetta G50 runs a Nissan VR38 twin-turbo V6 and had been hundreths of a second up on Jay until the final shootout, when a Hail Mary lap from Jay saw him edge past to take second-place.
