The three time winning Tilton Evo is back for after 2 years off with a new paint job and a new driver! We caught up with owner/driver Kosta Pohorukov as he got in a few test laps in ahead of this weekend’s World Time Attack Challenge.
Kosta will be taking over driving duties from Garth Walden as the car will be entered in the Royal Purple Pro Am Class. “I think I should have a crack in the car” said Kosta “and the team have confidence in me!”
The team has been busy making changes for this year attempt including include uprights, new brake set up and ECU, all of which have been thoroughly tested over the last couple of weeks at Wakefield Park.
The one thing remaining is building driver confidence. During testing, Kosta has even admited he has scared himself a few times. With the car running low boost at 29 pounds and another 10-15 pounds still to go, getting time behind the wheel will be critical for Kosta.
The team have plans to get in a lot of testing time this week, slowly building up to a target time of around 1 min 25/26 before World Time Attack Challenge this weekend.
Will Tilton Interiors be able to take on Canadian William Au-Yeung in the battle for the top spot in Royal Purple Pro Am? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain – this will be showdown you DO NOT WANT TO MISS!
