For the first time ever at World Time Attack we will be hosting a live production that will feature cameras all around the track sending footage live to 3 big screens situated  in prominent positions around the venue.

The live production will also be beamed to TV sets in all the corporate suites and the ARDC garage cafe, meaning you will not miss a minute of the action.

We thought we should put together a very special team of people to host this very special production, and here they are:

toshi

Host: Toshi Hayama

Toshi Hayama is a true veteran of the JDM car scene. There is not much this guy hasn’t seen or done. Amongst countless things he has been involved with was being the front man of APEXi USA, English announcer for the D1GP series, creator of the JDM Insider video series and most famously was employed by Universal Pictures as the technical director for the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift movie. Toshi is fluent in English and Japanese and will be bringing you all the action live from pit lane throughout WTAC. Toshi resides in Irvine California USA.

annette

Co Host: Annette Melton

Joining Toshi Hayama as the co-host of the live production is the stunning Annette Melton. If Annette has a familiar face it is because she has hosted many top automotive events around Australia and was also the host of the 888 Poker series in the USA. She has also starred in many TV commercials including Holden and Alfa Romeo. As well as her TV career Annette also has a blossoming modeling career and was a Miss Universe finalist and FHM calender girl. Annette resides in Sydney Australia.

WTAC Commentary team:

diggles rs1

Chris Diggles

Diggles has been the voice of WTAC from day one. He also did the commentary on both Oran Park Superlap events that were the precursor to WTAC.  With over 15 years experience there is not much he doesn’t  know about keeping the crowd entertained and most of all about the time attack teams and cars. As well as WTAC, Diggles is the voice of the Sport Compact Jamboree, the Australian Pro Street Series and numerous other top level automotive events around the country. Chris resides in Brisbane Australia.

mozza33

Adrian Mozza Morrisby

“Mozza” is another veteran motorsport  announcer. After a successful motorsport career predominately in tarmac rally, Mozza decided that it was time to hang up the helmet and pick up the microphone. The quick witted Tasmanian has been with the WTAC team since 2011 and also commentates at many drift events around the country, Targa Tasmania and the Australian Rally Championship. Mozza has the innate ability to source information from teams that no one else seems to be able to get. His jovial character often has the crowd in fits of laughter. Adrian resides in Hobart Tasmania.

Jarod DeAnda

Jarod DeAnda is the true “Voice of Formula Drift”. He has been the commentator for the FD series since its inception in 2003 and has the incredible ability to bring the crowd to their feet through his captivating and almost theatrical voice. With the success of Formula Drift in the USA and now worldwide, Jarrod has gone onto a very successful announcing career and now lists Red Bull Global Rally Cross series, the X games and Ken Block’s Gymkhana as his clients but points out that he still holds Formula Drift as his number one as he has been there from the very beginning. Jarod resides in Gilbert Arizona USA.

Ryan Sage

Joining Jarod in the FD commentary team is Formula Drift co-founder Ryan Sage. Having founded the series in 2003 with Jim Liaw, Sage has an incredible amount of knowledge not only of the sport itself but also of the teams and their tactics. Having sat beside DeAnda for many years the team are able to “bounce off each other” and tell the crowd exactly what they want to hear. When he is not announcing, Sage is the vice president of the entire organization and still plays a very hands-on role at every event. Ryan resides in Santa Ana California.
