For 2024 the Garrett Advancing Motion International Drifting Cup ran a "Cup" format, with 4 pools of 6 pre-seeded drivers. The drivers earn 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss as they try and build a score to qualify for the Top 8 Elimination battles.
This ensured everyone would put their all on the line, in the name of securing the win. After going through the five pools the Top 8 came down to Luke Veersma, Alex Sciacca, Brodie Maher, Rob Whyte, Saxon Moyes, Matt Harvey, Masashi Yokoi, and Matty Hill.
Veersma, Maher, Moyes and Yokoi all made it through to the semi-finals. In the end, Moyes knocked out Yokoi and Maher knocked out Veersma to set up a Maher/Moyes final. Saxon Moyes got the W over Brody Maher, and Luke Veersma pipped for third place over Masashi Yokoi.
